Last Month, American Circular Textiles led key conversations at SF and DC Climate Weeks, submitted a letter to the FTC supporting digital labeling, and published a National Blueprint for Effective EPR. We were featured in Sourcing Journal, Fashion Dive, and the Associated Press, and welcomed The Textile Engine to our coalition. With de minimis reform on the horizon and new federal tariffs taking shape, we’re pushing forward bold, bipartisan policies for a circular U.S. textile economy.
May 2025 Newsletter
ACT held its CEO & Executive Lobby Day in D.C., meeting with policymakers to advocate for textile circularity, responsible trade, and domestic manufacturing. We welcomed new members and were featured in Sourcing Journal and GlobalData, while tracking new tariffs, trade policy shifts, and the launch of the Congressional Textile Caucus, reinforcing our mission to support circularity and U.S. industry leadership.
April 2025 Newsletter
In March, ACT hit the road! From moderating a U.S. Congressional briefing on circular textiles to speaking at Yale, Columbia, and major industry summits. We shared U.S. policy progress with EU delegates, joined global voices at Debrand’s Basecamp, and were featured in Vogue Business, Sourcing Journal, and BoF. With new tariff policies and state bills emerging, ACT continues leading conversations that shape the future of circular fashion.

ACT CEO Rachel Kibbe was honored at the Women Pioneers of Circular Fashion event, and we connected with industry leaders at CTDA. In the news, ACT was featured in BoF, Modern Retail, and WBUR, highlighting textile waste and policy shifts. On the legislative front, new tariffs may boost resale, while Washington and California advance textile EPR and sustainability laws. Stay engaged as circular fashion gains momentum!
February 2025 Newsletter
In 2024, ACT grew to 35 members, shaped the Americas Act, and led key policy campaigns, gaining coverage in Teen Vogue, BBC, and Vogue Business. With the GAO’s first federal textile waste report, our recent webinar highlighted the need for federal action on recycling—driving momentum for a circular economy in 2025.
