A Circular Fashion Initiative.
American Circular Textiles is a coalition of industry leaders. We work to create smart, bi-partisan national policies that strengthen domestic supply chains, drive nearshoring and onshoring, and transform textile waste into a valuable resource. We bridge industry and policy, ensuring the future of textile manufacturing is sustainable, profitable, and resilient.
We are not simply pushing regulations but working with the private sector to comply and streamline smart policy solutions, so the full spectrum of circular businesses thrive. We have led critical U.S. policy discussions and policy for textile reuse and recycling, trade reform, and domestic manufacturing at the highest levels of government.
Our work has:
Played a key role in shaping Federal policy, including the Americas Act, the first Federal Bill introduced to incorporate reuse and recycling of textiles.
Help drive stakeholder engagement and education on state-level policies, including EPR initiatives, to ensure industry is up to date with requirements and their perspectives are considered.
Driven industry national and global engagement with policymakers and government agencies, including leading U.S. private sector engagement in the G7 A.C.T. initiative on circular textiles, bridging the gap between brands, manufacturers, and governments to create viable, scalable circular solutions.
Published first of its kind policy education and research, including ‘The United States Opportunity for Circular Fashion’, and A National Blueprint for EPR, providing data-driven insights that guide policymakers and industry leaders in shaping the future of circular textiles.
As the leading U.S. organization exclusively driving both federal and state policy for textile circularity and domestic manufacturing, we ensure the future of textile manufacturing is sustainable, profitable, and resilient.
While American Circular Textiles works to align the industry on key initiatives, the views, opinions, and perspectives expressed do not necessarily reflect those of individual members.
