Ellen MacArthur Foundation and American Circular Textiles Deepen Collaboration to Advance the Circular Economy in Textiles
New York, New York— August 11, 2026 — American Circular Textiles (AMCIRC), the leading U.S. textile circular textile policy coalition, and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, a global charity accelerating the transition to a circular economy, today announced a new collaboration. The Foundation has joined AMCIRC as an Insights Partner — a new participation category established for select multistakeholder organizations and NGOs to advance shared goals in circularity.
The two organizations are committed to advancing circular systems for textiles in North America and globally. Through this collaboration, the Foundation will participate in AMCIRC membership meetings, events, and activities, with both organizations exchanging information, insights, and ideas to support their respective policy and circular economy initiatives.
"We're glad to welcome the Ellen MacArthur Foundation's expertise and global perspective into AMCIRC's work. Their research and systems-level thinking on circularity have shaped this field for over a decade, and we look forward to finding practical ways to advance shared goals for U.S. textile policy together," said Rachel Kibbe, Founder & CEO of American Circular Textiles.
"We are thrilled to be formally joining AMCIRC as an Insights Partner. Their work to educate companies and key U.S. stakeholders on textile policy, as well as their commitment to progressing the conditions that will enable circularity, are critical to the field. We’re glad to be collaborating with them to drive circularity in fashion and textiles at a national level,” said Danielle Holly, Executive Lead North America, Ellen MacArthur Foundation.
